Maywood Desk

The inspiration for the maywood desk sprung from a mid-century walnut veneer file cabinet found at a yard sale on Maywood Street. A fifty year old handmade drawing board, its green Vyco board cover pocked with years of use, became the desk top. The legs were pried from a sewing machine table that we liberated from Grandma’s attic, and the apron was wrapped with the stray pages of a vintage flea market novel. The desk is topped with a working industrial factory lamp.
