This nearly 100 year old suburban Boston home underwent a head-to-toe renovation designed by Hundred Acre. We kept the classic bones of the home intact, and updated the layout and finishes to suit a young family’s needs.
The Kitchen
The former mud room/kitchen was combined to create a larger, more functional space centered around an island that does double duty for both breakfast and cooking prep. Custom Shaker style painted cabinets replaced the dated cabinetry that was original to the home. New wood flooring to match the rest of the house replaced aging linoleum tiles, and top of the line appliances, plumbing fixtures and a modern glass tile backsplash were added. To infuse the Kitchen with this family’s appreciation for vintage industrial style, Hundred Acre custom made the island from an century old pine work table and vintage school locker drawers. See our post on the Rockledge Kitchen Island here.
